Honest AI Guide is published by Red Sun LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit honestaiguide.com, what we do with that information, and the choices you have. We keep this short on purpose.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you give us
When you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your email address. When you write to us at tips@honestaiguide.com or admin@honestaiguide.com, we keep the email content and your address so we can reply.
1.2 Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider Cloudflare logs basic request data (IP address, user agent, referring URL, timestamps) for security and performance. We use a privacy-respecting analytics layer to count page views and referral sources in aggregate. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not build behavioral profiles.
1.3 Affiliate links
Many outbound links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one and complete a purchase on the destination site, that vendor's analytics may record the click as originating from honestaiguide.com so they can pay us a commission. The vendor's own privacy policy applies to anything you do on their site.
1.4 Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies. We do not set third-party advertising cookies on honestaiguide.com.
2. How we use information
- To send the newsletter and the occasional product update (typically once a week or less).
- To answer your support and tip emails.
- To improve the site (which articles get read, which don't).
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud and abuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone. We share information only with the service providers we use to run the site:
- Cloudflare, our hosting and CDN provider.
- Email service provider for sending the newsletter.
- Affiliate networks see referral data when you click an affiliate link, as described above.
We may also disclose information when required by law, when responding to a lawful subpoena, or when necessary to protect our legal rights.
4. Data retention
Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe; every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Reader emails are kept for two years and then deleted. Aggregate analytics are kept indefinitely in non-identifiable form.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain uses. To exercise any of these rights, email admin@honestaiguide.com. We respond inside 30 days.
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA. We do not sell personal information.
6. Security
We use HTTPS across the site and rely on Cloudflare for infrastructure security. No system is perfectly secure. If we ever discover a breach affecting your information, we will notify subscribers by email and post a notice on this site.
7. Children
Honest AI Guide is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, send a notice to newsletter subscribers.
